Republic today rolled out Nervous System, the seven-song “mini-album” from breakout singer/songwriter Julia Michaels, and there’s a lot riding on this high-profile release as Michaels’ next leap forward—coming as it does on the heels of her big hit, “Issues,” which has moved some 980k singles and earned 184m streams. Prexy Charlie Walk is calling the plays as the campaign marches down the field to Grammy-eligibility time.
Michaels, who's penned songs for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and others, is set to perform “Issues” and new single “Uh Huh” on Today on 8/1 (and just got a VMA Best New Artist nom). She'll hit the road with Shawn Mendes in the fall.
