U.K. CHARTS: SHEERAN TALLIES 14 WEEKS AT #1

Haim cannot unseat the behemoth that is Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Atlantic). Something To Tell You (Polydor) settles for second place on the U.K’s Official Albums chart as Sheeran has now topped his previous record of 13 weeks at #1.

In its 14th week at the top, ÷ was the biggest seller across physical and streaming formats. To date, the record has shifted just over 2m combined sales. Sheeran's 2018 U.K. and European stadium tour sold out within a few days earlier this week (including four shows at London’s Wembley Stadium), with four more dates added in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and Cardiff.

After ending its Tidal exclusive, Jay-Z’s 4:44 (Roc Nation) has rocketed to #3 from outside the Top 100, followed by London band Public Service Broadcasting with Every Valley (Play It Again Sam) at #4. Rag’n’Bone Man is down to #5 with Human (Columbia).

Further down, Radiohead’s reissue of OK Computer (XL) rebounds five spots to #7 following its vinyl release and Little Mix are back in the Top 10 at #9 with Glory Days (Syco).

Over on the Official Singles Chart, there’s nothing new in the Top 5 as “Despacito” (Polydor) by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber holds the top spot for its ninth consecutive week with 6.7m streams and 28k downloads.

DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller's "Wild Thoughts" (Black Butter/We The Best) is at #2, followed by “Unforgettable” (Black Butter) by French Montana f/Swae Lee at #3. "Feels" (Columbia) from Calvin Harris f/Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean has risen two spots to #4, while “Mama” (Virgin EMI) by Jonas Blue is #5.

Sigala and Ella Eyre's “Came Here For Love” (Ministry of Sound) is up to #6 from #12. The highest new entry is Zedd and Liam Payne’s “Get Low” (Polydor) at #26, followed by Kesha’s “Praying” (RCA) at #30.
