Universal's Despicable Me 3 topped the pre-Fourth of July weekend box office, pulling in $75m—about $8m shy of the three-day estimate the studio was anticipating Saturday morning and $10m or so shy of its predecessor's opening weekend—while Sony's Baby Driver followed at #2 with $21m.
