JAY-Z LAUNCHES 4:44 ACROSS iHEARTMEDIA STATIONS

In an unprecedented move, iHeartMedia has partnered with Roc Nation and Jay-Z to launch his new 4:44, with the 35-minute album airing exclusively and uninterrupted across 160 Pop, Rhythm and Urban radio stations around the country.

To further enhance the listening experience, album tracks were woven in with custom drops from Jay-Z announcing, "My new album with iHeartRadio," plus snippets of exclusive, candid dialogue from the rapper about making the work, like the title of this album, which came from waking up 4:44am with a rhyme inspiration.

"This is a perfect storm of sharing music with fans," said Jay in the announcement, plugging away. "Sprint allows for and promotes creative freedom. Every artist strives for support of their vision, and I have that in not just a partnership with Sprint but also in iHeart. The iHeart team are creating an experience for millions of fans across the country."

This is a big enough deal that iHeartMedia ruler Bob Pittman weighed in. “We have a long history of partnering with Jay-Z in innovative ways, and he was one of the artists to join our first-ever iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2011,” the boss proclaimed. “He's once again proved that he's a true innovator, and we are honored to partner with him on the historic launch of his first album in over four years. Our nationwide world premiere of 4:44 will reach tens of millions of Jay's fans across the country—while creating millions of new ones."

The album is playing across iHeartMedia’s Urban and Rhythm formats until midnight tonight.
