FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

The 6/23 showdown has begun. In lane 1, starting at #1 on iTunes’ albums chart, is Imagine DragonsEvolve, the third album from the KIDinaKORNER/Interscope act. In lane 2, already atop the Apple Music albums chart, is DJ Khaled’s Grateful from We The Best/Epic. Let the games begin.

Grateful, meanwhile, is #2 at iTunes, one of six new albums in the Top 10 on flipover Friday. 311’s 12th album, Mosaic (BMG), drops in at #3.

The spiffed-up version of Prince’s Purple Rain (NPG/Warner Bros.), containing 26 songs not on the original release, wheels up at #4. The deluxe edition with 10 extra tracks is #36.

Big Fish Theory from Def Jam’s Vince Staples floats up to #5—it’s #19 at Apple Music—while the 20th anniversary edition of Radiohead’s OK Computer, aka OKNOTOK 1997 2917 (XL), with 11 extra tracks, is #9.

Back at Apple Music, DJ Khaled has three tracks in the Top 10 with “Wild Thoughts” f/Rihanna and Bryson Tiller at #1.
