SPOTIFY ADDS HISTORY TO PRIDE PLAYLISTS
In support of Pride Month, Spotify has posted a series of enhanced playlists featuring stories and narratives that amplify stories of resistance led by the LGBTQ community. Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Troye Sivan and Broadway star Billy Porter are among the participants.
Created in partnership with GLAAD and Greater than AIDS, the series of video playlists focuses on five iconic moments of LGBTQ resistance: Stonewall uprising in 1969; Swedish activists "calling in gay" in 1979; the AIDS crisis; fight for marriage equality; and the current battle for trans rights and so-called "bathroom bills."
