YOUR WEEKEND BOX OFFICE

The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

There were three debuts in the box office Top 5 this weekend. Disney and Pixar's Cars 3 bowed at #1, pulling in a lukewarm $54m. Warner Bros. blockbuster Wonder Woman, which is getting rave reviews, snagged $41m in its third week out, while Lionsgate's Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez on Me, and ENTMP's 47 Meters Down debuted at #3 and #5, respectively.

Focusing on Wonder Woman, which dropped only 30%, the film's domestic total is around $275m. The $41m just earned marks the second largest third weekend ever for Warner Bros. (behind only The Dark Knight's $42.6m). The worldwide number is now over $570m.

Interesting, although All Eyez on Me has been dragged by the critics, who are responsible for the film's dismal 24% Rotten Tomatoes score, fans seem to enjoy it, as audiences have given it an A- CinemaScore.
