Warner Music Group owner Len Blavatnik has been awarded a knighthood in the Queen’s birthday honors.

The 60-year-old Ukrainian-born exec, who holds both U.S. and U.K. citizenship, has earned renown as a philanthropist in Blighty, making gifts of £75m to Oxford University and £50m for the Tate Modern (putting his name on a school of government and a museum annex in the process).

He owns a home in London’s Kensington Palace Gardens and is said to fill his samovar with Tetley tea exclusively.

Other music names honoured in the list include Paul McCartney, who was made a Companion of Honour. Those who received MBE’s are artist and honorary President of the Featured Artists CoalitionSandie ShawEd SheeranEmeli Sande and tastemaker Chris Macmeikan of Continental Drifts (aka Chris Tofu), who curates Glastonbury’s Shangri-La stage, for services to the music festival and live events industry. Sade was made a CBE for services to music and Global Founder Ashley Tabor was made an OBE.
