FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Few flipover Fridays flip out the way today has. The iTunes album Top 10 is 100% new releases and 16 of the Top 20 albums are rookie titles with Lorde leading the way.

Lorde’s second album, Melodrama (Lava/Republic), debuts in the top slot followed by the sixth album from Jason Isbell, The Nashville Sound (Southeastern). Melodrama is currently #12 at Apple Music.

2 Chainz’ latest, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music (Def Jam) opens at #3 on iTunes and #4 at Apple Music making it the top debut on the streaming service. Nickelback’s first album in three years, Feed the Machine (BMG), is #4.

The second album from lauded British rock duo Royal Blood, How Did We Get So Dark? (Warner Bros.), is #5, one slot ahead fo the first album in six years from Fleet Foxes, Crack-Up (Nonesuch).

Jeff Williams’ score to the animated web series RWBY 4 (Rooster Teeth) is #7, currently besting Portugal. The Man’s Woodstock (Warner Music). H.E.R., Vol. 2, the second MBK/RCA release from Gabi Wilson’s alter-ego is #9, ahead of Young Thug’s Beautiful Thugger Girls (Warner Music), which is #8 at Apple Music.

And with four of its tracks available, DJ Khaled’s Grateful (We The Best/Epic) is #20 at Apple Music a full week ahead of its release.
