SEGER'S RECORDS OFF THE SHELF, ONTO STREAMING

Bob Seger, one of the last major digital holdouts, has put his dozen hit Capitol albums on streaming and download services such as iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and iHeartMedia today.

Making their debuts for downloads and streams are classics from the ‘70s and '80s such as Beautiful Loser, Like a Rock and Night Moves. The digital releases follow Seger’s 6/1 announcement that he and his Silver Bullet Band would start touring in August.

Other albums debuting today for streaming and downloading are The Distance, The Fire Inside, Stranger In Town, Against The Wind, Greatest Hits, Greatest Hits 2 and Ramblin' Gamblin' Man. Live Bullet, Nine Tonight and Ultimate Hits, which have been available for downloading, are now up on streaming services.

There are still albums that remain out of print. Completists can now carp that the six albums that predated his breakthrough Night Moves, his two albums from the 1990s and 2006's Face the Promise are not yet available digitally.
