BLOOM TO OVERSEE FILM/TV MUSIC AT WBR

Acclaimed music supervisor PJ Bloom is heading to Warner Bros. Records to oversee music placement of WBR’s roster in visual media and spearhead the acquisition of soundtrack properties. As Senior Vice President, Film & Television Music and Soundtracks, he'll report to WBR EVP/GM Peter Gray.

Known for his work on Glee, American Horror Story and The Americans, Bloom has created soundtracks for more than 1,000 TV episodes and 50 movies, as well as videogames, advertisements and amusement-park rides. He's a two-time Guild of Music Supervisors Award winner, a four-time BMI Award winner and a two-time ASCAP Pop Award winner.

“PJ is one of the preeminent executives in film and television music today,” said WBR chief Cameron Strang. “He will immediately elevate WBR’s profile in the areas of film, television and soundtracks, which have proven to be a powerful force in breaking new artists and expanding awareness for our artists and their music.”

Bloom is a partner in Neophonic Music & Media, the agency Evyean Klean founded in 1980, and co-founder of Black Magnetic Records and Publishing.

“Cameron Strang and Peter Gray’s decision to bring a career music supervisor into this role signifies the label’s commitment to fundamental change within the field and acknowledges the importance of synchronization to WBR's success,” Bloom said. “I am truly honored to work with the entire label team on one of the best rosters in the business.”
