At the UJA-Federation of New York luncheon honoring UMG EVP Michele Anthony as Music Visionary of the Year, this year's honoree was joined by an array of industry heavyweights for an event that broke both fundraising records and records for number of bialys consumed. Seen just before rock icon Steve Miller and mega-mogul Irving Azoff busted out a bluesy medley of Yiddish favorites are (l-r) event host Sharon Osbourne, Miller, Anthony, Janice Ginsburg Miller and Azoff.
The event, which featured musical performances by Eddie Vedder and Alessia Cara, toasts from Azoff, Jody Gerson, Jane Rosenthal and Hugh Evans, remarks by Daniel Glass and the presentation of Anthony's award by Gloria Steinem, raised more than $1.8m for UJA-Federation's Music for Youth initiative and annual campaign.
