U.K. MIDWEEKS: ARIANA GRANDE'S "TIME" TO SHINE

After leading the emotional benefit concert at Old Trafford in Manchester Sunday, Ariana Grande has risen to #2 on the U.K.’s midweek Official Singles Chart with a repackaged version of charity single “One Last Time” (Island). On the albums tally, there are three new entries.

All proceeds from “One Last Time” will go to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, which has already raised more £10m—£2m of which came from Sunday night’s concert—for those affected by the attack at Manchester Arena. Can the track overtake “Despacito” (Polydor) by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber—which could be in for its fifth week at #1—by Friday?

Further down, “Strip That Down” (Capitol) by Liam Payne f/Quavo is #3, DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” (Black Butter/Def Jam) is #4 and “Unforgettable” (Black Butter) by French Montana f/Swae Lee is up one place to #5 at this week’s halfway stage.

On the Official Albums Chart, Roger Waters is leading the way with Is This the Life We Really Want? (Columbia), his first solo studio album in 25 years. If the set holds onto its position by Friday, the album will be Waters first #1 solo record.

Trailing by 2k combined sales is All Time Low with seventh album Last Young Renegade (Atlantic) at #2. British band Alt-J are the third highest new entry with Relaxer (Infectious) at #4.

Last week’s #1, The Beatles’ 50th anniversary edition of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Apple Corps), has moved down to #3 as Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Atlantic) declines three places to #5. New Warner priority act Dua Lipa has made a strong start at #6 with her self-titled debut album.
