Vince Gill and Glenn Frey’s oldest son, Deacon Frey, will join the Eagles for the Classic West and Classic East concerts in July. Single-day tickets go on sale Monday.
“I think we’re doing it in a highly ethical manner that I think Glenn would approve of,” Don Henley told the Los Angeles Times. “That’s important to me, it’s important to Glenn’s family. If there are some detractors, then there are some detractors. I’m not going to spend a lot of time defending this, because I don’t see anything wrong with it. I think we’re carrying on a family tradition in a very family type way.”
Classic West at Dodger Stadium will feature the Eagles, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday, 7/ 15 and Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday, 7/16. The same lineups will play Classic East at Citi Field in New York on 7/29-30.
