RCA's Joe Daddio has been upped to VP, Pop Promotion, announced EVP/GM Joe Riccitelli, to whom he'll report.

Daddio, pictured here with SiriusXM's King of All Pop, Kid Kelly (l) and RCA superstar Miley Cyrus, was most recently RCA's Senior Director, Pop Promo.

"It’s rare to have a former intern elevate himself to Vice President," said Riccitelli. "Joe Daddio and I have been working together for close to 20 years. His ability to analyze, promote, strategize and remain passionate in today’s promotional climate have been invaluable to this promotion staff. Also, please don't make any beatnik jokes about his name."

Declared Daddio, "I am honored and excited to continue working at RCA with the best pop artist roster and promo team in the country, and I’m thankful to Peter Edge, Tom Corson, and Joe Riccitelli for this incredible opportunity. Daddio served on air at assorted Top 40 stations (including WKCI New Haven) before starting out his label career at Island in 1996. He headed to Jive in 1999 as Northeast Mid-Atlantic Rep.
