Miley Cyrus dedicated her performance of new single “Malibu” on Tuesday night’s finale of The Voice to her friend Ariana Grande “and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday. Our hearts are with you.” She then proceeded to display her rarefied vocal chops, belting out the song's climactic passage.
Soul singer Chris Blue of Team Alicia won the competition, upsetting the presumptive favorite, country singer Lauren Duski of Team Blake. Duski’s original song “Déjà vu” is #1 at iTunes and her rendition of Garth Brooks’ “The Dance” is #4, while Blue’s “Money on You” is #2.
Miley will do her second stint as coach on Season 13 of the hit NBC show this fall.
