STYLING: HARRY’S RELEASE-WEEK UBIQUITY

In the first of a series of post-release impressions, Harry Styles dropped in on BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show this morning to chat to Nick Grimshaw about the meaning behind tracks from his self-titled Columbia debut LP and (inevitably, given the context) dodge questions about former flame Taylor Swift (who reportedly inspired "Two Ghosts"). The set is #1 on iTunes in Blighty as well as the U.S., and there's a chorus of resounding high-pitched screams across London town.

The critics are making noise as well. Rolling Stone has just posted a four-star review of the album—the lead in the latest issue. In the piece, Rob Sheffield posits that, “on his superb solo debut, the One Direction heartthrob claims his turf as a true rock & roll prince, a sunshine superman, a cosmic dancer in touch with his introspective acoustic side as well as his glam flash… Harry digs so deep into classic California mellow gold, you might suspect his enigmatic new tattoos that say ‘Jackson’ and ‘Arlo’ refer to Browne and Guthrie."

Later on Friday—7pm EDT, to be specific—iHeartRadio will kick off its exclusive nonstop, commercial-free stream of the live iHeartRadio Album Release Party With Harry Styles on Harry Styles Album Special Radio beginning tonight and running through 5/23.

Harry will return to the colonies for a weeklong hang on The Late, Late Show with expat James Corden.

Harry will also perform for SiriusXM Hits 1 on Wednesday (5/17) at 7pm PDT from L.A. The special will also include a Q&A session with Hits 1 in Hollywood co-hosts Michael Yo, Tony Fly and Symon.
