KHALED, KENDRICK & BIEBER RULE REVENUE CHART

This week’s BuzzAngle Music-powered Song Revenue Chart dramatically evidences the Social-fueled potency of hitmeister D.J. Khaled, whose quick-hitting “I’m the One” has broken Kendrick Lamar’s recently set Apple Music streaming record and is accumulating a boatload of Benjamins. It isn’t often that a single generates more than $300k in a week, but then, it’s not every week that a record comes along with the massive star power of Lil Wayne, MigosQuavo, Chance the Rapper and Justin Bieber—whose involvement brings Def Jam a chunk of the windfall. Bieber’s remix of Luis Fonsi’s #3 “Despacito” bears further witness to JB’s post-comeback clout.

Kendrick, meanwhile, further substantiates his rarefied status in the musical firmament, as 10 of DAMN.’s 14 cuts appear among the Top 50 earners, led by #2 “HUMBLE.” And #4 “DNA.” While that’s slightly down from last week’s dozen entries, the dude is definitely flush, as he keeps printing money for himself, TDE and red-hot Interscope.

Marketshare splits: UMG 57%, Sony Music 27%, WMG 15%
