Warner Bros. Records has two new staffers. Allyson Cherny-Weston has been brought in as VP of Brand Partnerships, and Carlos Ogando returns to the label’s New York offices as Sr. National Urban & Rhythm Promotion Director.
Cherny-Weston reports to EVP of Strategic Marketing Lori Feldman, who noted her “great experience and intuitive ability, connecting brands with musical artists, experiences, content and storytelling that authentically reach consumers and fans.”
For her part, Cherny-Weston is “excited and eager to utilize the branding expertise that I have cultivated over the last eight and a half years in the industry to create meaningful brand partnerships for WBR’s stellar roster of artists.”
Cherny-Weston, who’ll be based in NYC, comes to the label from RCA, where she was Manager, Director, and then Sr. Director of Global Brand Partnerships.
Ogando reports to Lee L’Heureux, SVP of the department, who “couldn’t be more excited to bring him back home to Warner Bros. Records as we expand the Rhythm and Urban radio team.”
Before joining eOne, Ogando worked in Urban & Rhythm Promotion, Ogando did Mixshow Promotion for WBR from 2006 to 2012. He looks forward “to working with all of the extraordinary new and established artists under the excellent leadership of Cameron Strang, Peter Gray and Lee L’Heureux.”
