Billy Porter and Deborah Messing got cheeky at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York after the two received separate honors—Porter with the Vito Russo Award and Messing with the Excellence in Media trophy.
Messing, who will be starring in the reboot of Will and Grace this fall, gave a rousing speech encouraging resistance to President Trump’s actions. Porter was honored for making a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance for the LGBTQ community.
Porter will speak and perform at the Grammy Museum on 5/15 in support of his album The Soul of Richard Rodgers (Bee & El/Sony Masterworks).
