THE WRAP: IRVING OFF iHEART BOARD

The Wrap is among the outlets reporting that mega-mogul Irving Azoff has stepped down from the board of iHeartMedia, citing a company filing. The item says the resignation happened on 5/3, promising "more to come."

Sources close to the situation say the move isn't any kind of signal about iHeart. Azoff's term on the board was up and he elected not to continue, they say, having his hands very full with his Global Music Rights company.
