JANICK ADDRESSES THE TROOPS

Following this morning's announcement that Joie Manda would be upped to EVP, Interscope Geffen A&M chief John Janick issued the following memo about other developments at the company.

This has been a busy, successful year for the company so far, and I wanted to take a minute to fill you in on some changes which have been made to help us continue to break artists and maximize the potential of our entire roster.  I am especially proud of the recent success with our urban roster, which has been and always will be a large part of the foundation of Interscope.

First of all, Joie Manda is being promoted to Executive Vice President of Interscope Geffen A&M.  This expanded role enables Joie to work across our entire company and roster and gives us the ability to evolve our positioning in a world where hip-hop intersects every segment of culture.  Please join me in congratulating Joie.

As Joie moves into his new position, there will be a few changes to the reporting structure within the urban department.  There have also been some shifts, promotions and new hires across the entire company, which are outlined below:  

The Urban and Rhythmic Radio departments—led by Larry Khan and Nino Cuccinello, respectively—will now report directly to me.

Along with the recent promotion of Manny Smith, we have added two new executives to our A&R Department, Sickamore and Brock Korsan.  Please welcome them to the Interscope family.

Nicole Bilzerian now reports jointly to Joie and Berman as Head of Urban Marketing.

Archie Davis is stepping into a larger marketing role at the company, working with Mike WiLL Made-It, Ear Drummer Records and Top Dawg Entertainment, as well as other special projects, reporting to Steve Berman.

Matt LaMotte has been promoted to Head of Pop/Rock Marketing, stepping into that job in February, also reporting to Berman.
