A MATTER OF DEGREES

Sir Lucian Grainge will be honored once again this week as he’s conferred an honorary degree by Northeastern University at the Boston school’s 115th commencement.

A Northeastern trustee, Grainge will receive a degree as Doctor of Global Commerce on Friday at the TD Center, home of the Celtics, who appear to be headed for a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals—but we digress. Also receiving honorary degrees are Myechia Minter-Jordan, President/CEO of the Dimock Center, Diana Natalicio, President of the University of Texas at El Paso, and CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, who will deliver the commencement address.

“These visionary leaders have displayed passion, commitment, and entrepreneurial spirit at the forefront of their fields,” said Northeastern President. “We look forward to welcoming them into the Northeastern family, to celebrating their achievements and to sharing their stories of success with our graduates.”

The framed degree will be a fine addition to the wall of Sir Lucian’s Santa Monica office.
