MUSICAL.LY ALLIES WITH APPLE

Musical.ly, the popular app with teens and tweens that lets you create and share your own music videos using song snippets, is linking arms with Apple Music to power some of those tunes.

The new alliance serves a few key functions, by allowing paying Apple subscribers to listen to full songs within the app and potentially up-sell the streamery to Musical.ly's own user base, which the company reported last year to be more than 100m users.

7digital, who provided music distribution for the first three years of the app, recently renewed an agreement with the company to continue along.
