COPPOLA & SONY: IT'S STRICTLY BUSINESS

Rob Stringer's Sony Music made Carmine Coppola an offer he couldn’t refuse: Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Sony Music COO Kevin Kelleher has put Coppola in charge of managing Sony Music’s worldwide financial operations, as well as its information technology group.

A CPA, Coppola has been with Sony Music for 25 years and is being promoted from his current position of Global Controller and Executive Vice President, Global Finance. He was previously Chief Financial Officer for Sony Music International, and SVP of Sony Music’s U.S. Finance and Operations.

Kelleher said of Coppola, “He has worked in many roles within the finance team over the course of his career with Sony Music, and we look forward to benefiting from his wealth of experience as we further grow our business around the world.”

“As the industry is growing and quickly evolving, this is an important time for our business,” Coppola said. “I look forward to collaborating with the Sony Music executive team under the leadership of Rob Stringer to achieve even greater success for our artists and labels.”

Reporting to Kelleher, he is based in New York, where he knows to leave the quarterly report—and take the cannoli.
