U.K. MIDWEEKS: SHEERAN UNSHAKEABLE
Jamiroquai has the highest new entry on the U.K.’s Official Albums midweek update with Automaton (Virgin EMI) at #2, while Calvin Harris f/Ariana Grande, Pharrell and Young Thug’s “Heatstroke” (Columbia) is the highest new single with at #16. Ed Sheeran is unshakeable at #1 with ÷ (Atlantic) selling another 50k combined copies over the last three days.
Goldfrapp are currently behind Jamiroquai in the new entry leaderboard with Silver Eye (Mute) entering at #5. Rag’n’Bone Man is #3 with Human (Columbia), followed by Take That’s Wonderland (Polydor) at #4.
Mastodon are at #7 with Emperor of Sand (Reprise) and Kidz Bop (UMG)—a collection of covers for children by young stars Kidz Bop Kids—is new at #8.
Bob Dylan is in with a shot at a 39th Top 10 album with Triplicate (Columbia), which lands at #10 today. Brighton rockers British Sea Power start at #14 with Let The Dancers Inherit the Party (Caroline).
On the Official Singles midweek update, Sheeran’s “Shape of You” and “Galway Girl” are still #1 and #2 in a rather familiar Top 5. “Symphony” (Atlantic) by Clean Bandit f/Zara Larsson is #3, followed by Drake’s “Passionfruit” (Island) at #4 and “Something Like This” (Disruptor/RCA) by Chainsmokers & Coldplay at #5.
Katy Perry’s “Chained To The Rhythm” (Virgin EMI) is currently up nine places to #8, while Zedd and Alessia Cara’s collaboration “Stay” (Interscope) is up one place to #10.
