KINGS OF LEON JOIN HYDE PARK FEST

AEG’s annual British Summer Time festival in London’s Hyde Park has added a number of names to its U.S.-centric line-up. Kings of Leon will play the opening headline slot on a U.K. festival exclusive, followed by fellow headline acts Phil Collins (supported by Prince backing band The New Power Generation), Green Day, Justin Bieber, The Killers and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Now in its fifth year, the event takes place over two weekends from 6/30—7/2 and 7/8—7/9. Alongside Kings of Leon, those on the 6/30 bill are U.S. acts Pixies, Nathaniel Rateliff + The Night Sweats, Local Natives, Saint Motel, The Cactus Blossoms and Benjamin Booker, and Canadian artist Billy Raffoul. U.K. supporting acts are Scottish rockers Frightened Rabbit, independent alt band Deaf Havana and young singer/songwriter Tom Grennan.

Collins headlines on 6/30, Green Day on 7/1, Bieber on 7/2, The Killers on 7/8 and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers close the festival on 9/7.
