Monti Olson has been tapped as SVP A&R by Warner Bros. prexy Dan McCarroll, to whom he'll report. Olson was most recently EVP of Global Entertainment and Managing Director at Global Music Publishing. Prior to that he served as EVP A&R at UMPG.
Olson has worked with such artists as Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Ellie Goulding and Corinne Bailey Rae as well as a bevy of hit songwriters and producers over the course of his career.
"Monti is a great fit with WBR because he has a deep understanding of both songwriting and record-making, and has an impressive track record of developing hugely popular and culturally significant artists,” said McCarroll. "We look forward to him bringing in new and exciting talent to our WBR family."
"As a kid growing up in Los Angeles, it was a big dream of mine to work for Warner Bros. Records," Olson proclaimed. "I thank Cameron [Strang] and Dan for making that dream come true and for their belief and confidence. It’s an honor to be a part of the extraordinary musical culture that is WBR.”
Olson would be delighted to join you for Burbank's finest sushi.
