ALL DAY & ALL
THE KNIGHT

Kinks auteur Ray Davies was knighted on Thursday (3/16) by the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace.

The 72-year-old Hall of Famer joins a list of musical luminaries that includes Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison, George Martin and Lucian Grainge.

After the ceremony, Sir Ray downplayed the experience, telling the Daily Mail, “It lasted three minutes and it went very well. And I said goodbye and went home.”
