AFTER DELAY, RICHIE TO PUT ON 'ALL THE HITS' LATER THIS SUMMER

Lionel Richie thought he couldn’t slow down. He was wrong. His scheduled Live Nation-presented All the Hits Tour with Mariah Carey was postponed last month, when he realized it wasn’t quite easy as Sunday morning to recover from knee surgery.

In February, the 67-year-old crooner expressed disappointment on Twitter at the cancellation of the 35-show tour: “When you have been performing as long as I have it takes a toll on your body. Unfortunately my recovery from a knee procedure will not have me 100% ready to start the tour next month. I don’t want to disappoint my fans and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ together again.”

Now, there’s good news. The 5/18 gig at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center has been rescheduled for 8/6. All tickets purchased for the original date will be honored.
