Melodrama, the full-length set from Lava/Republic's Lorde, will go wide on all service providers on 6/16 and became available for pre-order today. Also unlocked this morning: a new instant-grat track, "Liability."
The song, an intimate piano ballad first sampled at Republic's recent listening events on both coasts, is another indicator of Lorde's stylistic growth and the raised emotional ante of Melodrama.
"Green Light," the album's lead single, will of course also be available instantly to pre-buyers. That song, which was Most Added at Pop radio this week and is now flying at multiple formats (more than 250 stations jumped aboard this week), is also the #1 Viral track, globally and domestically, on Spotify, the biggest mover at Shazam and earned a ridiculous 2 billion impressions on Twitter in its first 24 hours.
