FUTURE SHOCK: NEW ALBUM DROPS FRIDAY

Future surprised a lot of people this morning, announcing the Friday release of his self-titled Epic Records/A1/Freebandz album and a two-month tour starting 5/4.

There are no details about the album, only that it will have 17 tracks and, according to the press release, “the music reflects this influential titan at his most raw and real.” No song titles or guest appearances have been announced.

In 2015, Future’s DS2 (A1/Freebandz/Epic) bowed at #1 in July and Drake & Future’s collaborative mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive (YMCMB/Republic/Epic), repeated the feat in September.

A fan pre-sale for concert tickets starts at noon local time Wednesday; the on-sale date for the general public is Friday. Each ticket purchase will come with a digital copy of FUTURE.

Future’s Nobody Safe Tour—featuring Migos, Tory Lanez & Kodak Black as support with Young Thug and ASAP Ferg on select dates—includes a stop at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on 5/19. It wraps 6/30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas; an L.A. date has not yet been set.
