GAGA'S TV AUDIENCE TOPS 117M

Lady Gaga’s halftime performance was seen by 117.5 m viewers Sunday, making it the second most watched halftime performance in history and the fourth consecutive halftime show to outdraw the Super Bowl.

Gaga’s performance drew a 50.0 rating compared to the Patriots’ come from behind victory over the Falcons, which pulled in a 48.8 rating/72 share and was watched by 111.3m viewers . The game is just a pinch behind last year’s contest which had a 49.0/73, a viewership of 111.86m.

Counting the audience watching online, viewership hit 113.7m.

While the 51st Super Bowl was the first to go into overtime and certainly one of the most dramatic NFL play games in history, early indications are that it will not deliver record ratings. Final numbers will become available later today. Stay tuned.
