GRAMMYS' BEE GEES TRIBUTE SETS LINEUP

Barry Gibb, Pentatonix, DNCE, Little Big Town, Demi Lovato, John Legend and others will pay tribute to The Bee Gees and their landmark Saturday Night Fever soundtrack in a program produced by The Recording Academy, CBS and AEG Ehrlich Ventures.

Songs from the soundtrack, released 40 years ago in November, and other hits by the brothers Gibb will be performed on Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees. The performances will be shot 2/14, two days after the Grammy Awards, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast later this year.

Also confirmed for the concert we told you about earlier are Ed Sheeran, Andra Day, Celine Dion, Keith Urban and Tori Kelly. The concert comes on the heels of Barry and the estate Robin Gibb, who died in 2012, moving the Bee Gees catalog to Capitol Records and UMe in November. Maurice Gibb died in 2003.

Producer Ken Ehrlich told the Los Angeles Times that songs from Saturday Night Fever—“Stayin’ Alive,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Night Fever”— will anchor the show, but it will cover other work such as the British trio’s 1967 hit “New York Mining Disaster 1941.” We’re hoping “Holiday,” “I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You” and “Walkign Back to Waterloo” make it into the program.

The academy has previously done tributes to The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder.
