As the Oscar nominees are being revealed Tuesday morning, Marian Hill’s Act One (Photo Finish/Republic) is #9 at iTunes, while single “Down” is #4 on the tracks side. The duo’s debut album, released in June, has been reanimated by the use of “Down” in Apple’s ubiquitous Airpod spot; it’s priced to move at $7.99. While we’re in the store, it’s also worth noting that the Beaches soundtrack EP (on Warner Bros., from the Lifetime remake), comprising six songs performed by Idina Menzel and priced at $4.99, is #17.
