FIVE ACTS TO
BREAK THROUGH

Columbia’s Rag’n’Bone Man (pictured), Interscope’s K.Flay and indie country singer Carly Pearce are among the artists the music discovery and curation team at SiriusXM predicts will break through in 2017.

SiriusXM announced its “Future Five” at the same time it released its “Class of 2016,” a list of artists played first on SiriusXM that subsequently went on to have a breakthrough year in 2016. The list includes The Chainsmokers, Bishop Briggs and Maren Morris.

The Future Five are: Sony Music Nashville’s Seth Ennis, whose “Woke Up In Nashville” was first played on The Highway in mid-September; K.Flay, whose “Blood In The Cut” is in regular rotation at Alt Nation; Lil Uzi Vert, who is heard on Eminem’s Shade 45 channel; Pearce, a Kentucky native known for “Every Little Thing”; and British singer-songwriter Rag N Bone Man, whose “Human” debuted in mid-October on The Spectrum.

Besides Briggs, The Chainsmokers and Morris, the Class of 2016 is Daya, Kaleo, Tory Lanez, Nothing But Thieves and Ben Rector.
