UTA MUSIC ADDS ROB WALKER TO TEAM, JASON BONHAM TO ROSTER

Manager/entrepreneur Rob Walker can add “agent” to his list of distinctions, having just joined UTA Music; he’ll work out of the firm’s New York office. In his new role, Walker will focus on creating new opportunities for UTA-represented artists, including establishing new partnerships across all areas of entertainment and building new businesses around clients.

Walker has a varied resume spanning music and culture, having managed The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) for nearly two decades while co-founding the Star Trak label with the production duo; he’s also co-owner, with Pharrell and Japanese designer Nigo, of the Billionaire Boys Club Ice Cream shoe and clothing line, and head of strategic partnerships at Bionic Yarn, which specializes in creating high-performance yarn and fabric out of recycled plastic.

In this morning’s announcement, UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer hailed Walker as “an established voice in the intersection of music, culture and brands, and his expertise and skill set will enhance our ability to create and seize new opportunities for artists.”

In his new role, Walker intends to “expand on UTA’s strength helping clients reach deeper into other entertainment and business opportunities so artists can build it, scale it, monetize it and push culture.”

In other UTA news, the agency has signed Jason Bonham, the drumming son of the legendary basher John “Bonzo” Bonham, and his group, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience, to a worldwide deal.
