MORENTIN TO HEAD PR AT WARNER BROS. RECORDS

Warner Bros. Records has a new publicity chief: Liz Morentin. The former dick clark productions and Live Nation PR exec has been named Executive Vice President of Communications and Media, Warner Bros. Records, where she will report to Peter Gray, Executive Vice President, WBR.

Morentin will oversee all communications and media efforts for the company’s roster of artists and corporate initiatives and will be a member of the company’s senior management team.

Cameron Strang, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Records, made the announcement, stating “Liz brings with her a wealth of cutting-edge publicity expertise from a variety of entertainment companies including music, live entertainment, television and digital which are vital elements in modern artist development. Her vast experience will serve her well as she leads our PR team into the future, broadening the scope of our media and artist opportunities.”

Morentin leaves her job as Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing at dcp. Prior to handling PR for TV events such as Academy of Country Music Awards and the American Music Awards, Morentin was VP of Communications for Live Nation’s North American Concert division and worked for Epic, Rhino, Elektra, A&M, Arista and J Records/RCA.

“I began my career in music, and it’s truly a dream come true to work with Warner Bros.’ extraordinary roster of superstar and developing artists,” Morentin said. “Thankfully, I don’t have to freeze my ass off in Times Square on New Year’s Eve anymore.”
