Vevo has created a global list of 20 artists poised to breakout in the coming year that includes Downtown/Interscope's Tkay Maidza, Warner Bros. quartet from Brighton, The Magic Gang, and NYU grad Maggie Rogers (pictured), who counts Pharrell Williams as one of her fans.
Vevo will offer a series of exclusive performances and related content throughout November and December. The first two episodes are for Jorja Smith and Rogers.
Vevo has also published a print and electronic magazine to accompany the series, Vevo dscvr Ones To Watch.
Besides Rogers and The Magic Gang, the Vevo dscvr artists are Smith, a teenage singer and songwriter co-signed by Stormzy and Skrillex; West London MC AJ Tracey; rapper Nadia Rose; Atlantic Records signee Will Joseph Cook; Roadrunner’s Southampton horror punk band Creeper; London-based synth-pop duo Tender; teen singer Raye; Scandinavian singer-songwriter Skott; and female indie quartet from London, The Big Moon.
The list continues with Atlanta alternative rockers Big Jesus; Norway’s Dagny; Berlin-born, New York-based singer Kiah Victoria; of Mississauga, Ontario’s K.I.D; Atlanta rapper Russ; singer-songwriter Stanaj; Australian rapper Tkay Maidza; Brooklyn MC Young M.A; and 19-year-old 070 Shake.
