Yet another Sony act is headed for the U.K. Official Albums #1. SYCO girl group Little Mix has shifted an impressive 64k combined sales with their fourth album Glory Days at midweek stage, appearing alongside another two new entries in the Top 3.
Providing there's no surprise blockbuster releases, Glory Days will be Little Mix’s first #1 and looks set to become one of the fastest-selling albums in Blighty this year. Following behind is Metallica with Hardwired… to Self-Destruct (Virgin EMI) at #2, while Bruno Mars sits at #3 with 24K Magic (Atlantic).
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe move down one place to #4 with Together (Decca) and Elvis Presley’s The Wonder of You (Sony Music CG) stays at #5.
Over on the Official Singles midweek race, Atlantic act Clean Bandit’s third week at the top with “Rockabye” won’t be an easy win. “Black Beatles” from Polydor’s Rae Sremmurd, which features Gucci Mane, is just 7k combined chart sales behind after getting a load of free publicity via the mannequin challenge.
Little Mix are still at #3 with “Shout Out To My Ex” and James Arthur moves down two places to #4 with “Say You Won’t Let Go” (SYCO). Rounding off the Top 5 is Mars, who improves two places with “24K Magic.”
