Epic U.K. MD Dougie Bruce is leaving Sony Music in what looks like further evidence of Jason Iley’s reorganisation of the major label following the departure of Columbia co-heads Alison Donald and Mark Terry, who've been replaced by Ferdy Unger-Hamilton.
There’s no news on whether Bruce will be replaced, reports Music Week. Epic's roster, which includes Kygo, Example and Izzy Bizu, will go through Colin Barlow's RCA imprint until further notice.
Bruce’s departure follows that of former Epic U.K. joint MD Steven Melrose in 2014 when Iley had newly taken charge. The duo were appointed heads of the label in 2013 during prior Sony U.K. head Nick Gatfield’s reign.
