UMPG TAKES A SHINE TO SIMON

Jake Simon has been named Director of Creative, Universal Music Publishing Group. Simon will report to David Gray, UMPG EVP/Head of West Coast A&R, who made the announcement.

“We’re very pleased to have Jake join our A&R team at UMPG. He’s an incredibly creative A&R exec and brings a wealth experience from both the publishing and PRO side. Jake’s also an accomplished musician in his own right, so he will easily relate with our artists and writers," said Gray.

Simon was previously Director, Creative, for Atlas Music Publishing, where he handled talent development and acquisitions and worked with acts such as Toby Gad, Makeba Riddick and Best Kept Secret. Prior to that, he was Associate Director of Writer/Publisher relations at BMI.
