WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE LOOKS AHEAD WITH RADIO & STREAMING TEAM

John Esposito's Warner Music Nashville has taken a forward-looking approach to the reorganization of its marketing, including the creation of a Radio & Streaming team, among other changes.

That team, led by SVP Kristen Williams, will bring radio promotion and playlist oversight for subscription and ad-supported streaming into one department, along with interactive radio. The team is rounded out by VP Radio & Streaming Chris Palmer and VP of Original Content Chad Schultz.

Meanwhile, the company is expanding its Brand Management division, headed by VP Lisa Ray. Both Williams and Ray will report to Chief Marketing Officer Peter Strickland, who hailed Williams' "deep devotion to artists and her broad knowledge of the business" and praised Ray's "expertise in developing artists from the ground up."

“These moves anticipate the lasting importance of radio and the ongoing ascent of streaming," Espo noted, "while acknowledging there’s no need for a separate ‘digital’ team anymore, as technology is core to everything we do for our artists. We are positioning ourselves for new opportunities as the lines between marketing and commerce, as well as radio and streaming, continue to blur.”

Here's one song that will certainly end up on Espo's personal playlist.
