IT'S ALWAYS FAIR WEATHERLY

Kevin Weatherly has inked a new multi-year pact with CBS Radio. He'll continue serving as SVP Programming and PD of Alternative flagship KROQ and fellow L.A. stations KAMP and KCBS. In addition to being a programming leader at the company, as he's been for a quarter-century now, the award-winning exec will carry on advising Alternative, Rock and Adult stations nationwide.

“Kevin’s influence and impact on the content development of our company, and particularly our LA music stations, over the last 25 years is unmatched,” said EVP Programming Chris Oliviero. “We couldn’t be happier that he’ll continue on his journey with CBS Radio as a key contributor to the ongoing evolution and growth of our programming platforms.”

“Kevin has proven time and time again that he is one of the leading authorities in music radio, not only in the Los Angeles market, but in the industry,” added SVP and L.A. Market Manager Dan Kearney. “His strength and ability to build, cultivate, and evolve stations, like KROQ, KAMP and KCBS, is evidenced through the numerous awards and distinctions he has been honored with through the years. I am thrilled he will be with us for years to come.”

“I’m grateful to CBS Radio for their support throughout the years and for letting me continue to do what I love doing,” said Weatherly. “I couldn’t think of anywhere else I would rather be – there is no better job. I am very fortunate to be able to work alongside some of the best talent in the industry.”

It's fair to see that Weatherly's status as a leading figure in contemporary radio has earned him not only respect and status but a certain gravitas. It's a good thing there aren't any goofy old pictures of him in our archives.
