BACKSTREET’S BACK

After announcing a 2017 Vegas residency that evoked a massive response and making a splash at the iHeart Fest, it appears that the Backstreet Boys are at the start of a big new chapter. The Ron Laffitte-managed troupe appeared on James Corden’s show just before trumpeting the AXIS at Planet Hollywood residency, which kicks off in March and which has reportedly earned a record-setting response since tickets went on sale on 10/1. They’re also amping up engagement via a partnership with ABC’s The Bachelor.

Their show and Q&A session at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, meanwhile, drew the biggest audience yet of any performance at the venue; it’ll be broadcast on iHeart Hot AC stations on 10/9. “We think it’s safe to say that the world has been singing along to ‘Backstreet’s Back’ since the guys took the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last weekend,” reads a note from Tom Poleman and crew to Team BSB, which notes that promotions across iHeart’s various platforms have earned the lads some 90.3 million impressions.
