The MusiCares Foundation has elected new leadership and Board members starting with the election of Chop Shop Music Supervision’s Alexandra Patsavas as Chair (pictured).
Board member Michael McDonald, founder and CEO of Mick Management, is Vice Chair, and board member Stasia Washington, managing director of First Foundation Advisors, is Secretary/Treasurer.
Newly elected MusiCares Foundation Board members are Universal Music Group EVP and general counsel Jeffrey Harleston; YouTube and Google Play’s director of music partnerships Tamara Hrivnak; CAA partner and managing director/head of music Rob Light; and Andie B. Simon, president of consultancy firm Andie B. Simon.
"Our MusiCares Board members are true stewards of our nonprofit organization—they guide us in the continued fulfillment of our mission and seek ways to support our programs," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy and MusiCares. "We have been fortunate to have elected leaders who are passionate about our work and dedicated to sustaining the vital resources that MusiCares provides members of the music community in crisis."
Departing Chair Bill Silva, president of Bill Silva Entertainment, has been named Chair Emeritus, and John Branca, partner and head of the music department at Ziffren Brittenham LLP, has been announced as the Honorary Chair.
