RED ROCKS PROMO DEPARTMENT

RED has brought on a collection of new promo executives as part of an expansion. New to Danny Buch's team are, from left, Trina Tombrink, Franco Iemmello, Melanie Scull, Brent Battles and Chris Brown.

RED Distribution is expanding and restructuring its Promotion department, bringing four new employees: Trina Tombrink as VP of Promotion & Artist Development; Melanie Scull as VP of Pop Promotion; Franco Iemmello as VP of Rhythm Promotion; and Chris Brown as Southeast Regional Director of Promotion. RED SVP of Promotion Danny Buch also promoted Brent Battles to Sr. Director of National Pop Promotion.

“RED is breaking boundaries with our bolstered Promotion team,” Buch said. “These newly appointed members will help increase our overall radio exposure, as well as position us better to compete alongside the majors at Pop radio. I am thankful for RED President Bob Morelli's support as we welcome these new additions to our Promotion staff.”

Tombrink comes over from Republic where she spent the last seven years as the head of Triple A Promotion & Artist Development. Prior to that, she spent 17 years at Columbia Records.

Iemmello was most recently VP of Rhythm & Crossover Promotion at Capitol and has worked at Island Def Jam and Warner Bros.

Prior to joining RED in the Southeast region, Battles spent 10 years in radio at major market stations, and seven years at Reprise Records as the National Director of Rock/Alternative Promotion.

Brown was a salesman for Citadel Communications, and the co-host of Home and Castle Television for two years.

Among RED’s recent successes at radio are Flume (Mom + Pop), Daya (Artbeatz), Ingrid Michaelson (Cabin 24), Dirty Heads and St. Paul & The Broken Bones (RECORDS).
