Interestingly, Screen Gems' Don't Breathe, which debuted at #1 two weeks ago, and Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad, which debuted at #1 last month, followed at #3 and #4, respectively. Meanwhile, another new release, Lionsgate's The Wild Life, bows at #5.
Sully's cume marks the fifth-biggest September opening of all time—and the biggest September opening ever for Warner Bros. It's also the largest opening for the weekend after Labor Day.
