Most of the vintage photos we've showcased in our run-up to the HITS 30th Anniversary Issue have featured execs mugging at gala dinners or cavorting on the back nine. But this shot from our overflowing files is from the trenches of radio promo. And when you're promoting an album of sophisticated, romantic pop by a silky cosmopolitan like Bryan Ferry, naturally you want a guy dressed in a felt costume roughly shaped like a heart to plug it. So reasoned Reprise's Bob Divney and WFLY Albany MD Michael Morgan, who later talked up Ferry's Bête Noire with the Morning Zoo team. P.S. That Anni we mentioned earlier? It'll be landing on your desk with a mighty thump next week.
