ELVIS IS BACK
IN THE BUILDING

Last year’s Sony Music CG phenomenon, the Elvis album If I Can Dream, topped 1.5m sales in Blighty and stayed in the U.K.'s Top 5 for 11 weeks. Will its follow up be another Q4 blockbuster?

The new record, The Wonder of You: Elvis Presley, has again been recorded with Her Majesty’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and will drop on 10/14. (Sony Legacy will release it in the States 10/21). Its predecessor ended 2015 as the second biggest selling new album in the U.K. that year, behind only Adele’s 25 (XL). Sony Music Commercial Group MD Phil Savill helmed the project alongside Senior Marketing Manager Olivia Walker.

The album precedes a six-date U.K. arena tour, Elvis In Concert, which starts on 11/17. Fans will see Elvis on screen, accompanied live by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

U2, Kasabian and Ed Sheeran also rumoured to have new music out before year’s end. And when will Sam Smith end his hiatus and debut material from his second album?
